Dan Krause is a Wisconsin native who founded Krause Donovan Estate Law Partners, LLC in 2000. Dan has been in the US Army, Wisconsin Army National Guard and is currently in the US Army Reserves as a JAG attorney. He is also a veteran of the US Peace Corps, having served 2 years in Kenya as a teacher and secondary school administrator.

Having attended one of the nation’s premier law schools, New York University School of Law, Dan Krause is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and Minnesota as well as both of Wisconsin’s federal district courts and a number of tribal courts. He has successfully litigated many cases, including contested trusts and wills, and designed and administered many hundreds of estate plans.

Mr. Krause is a “Certified Estate Planning Law Specialist” –by The Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an ABA-accredited, attorney-run subsidiary of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, also an Accredited Estate Planner ®, accredited by the same national organization.

Dan focuses his practice on helping people establish estate plans that are workable and practical, and helping people avoid the devastating cost of nursing care. Living in Oregon, Wisconsin with his 2 kids; Dan and his family are active members of their church. Dan is in the Oregon Rotary Club, the Knights of Columbus and the Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce. Elected to the Oregon School board in 2013, he is currently serving his second term.
