Maura has been practicing for the past 2 decades in estate planning, asset protection, real estate and estate administration. After graduating from law school, she worked as a law clerk for Ohio’s largest probate court in Cleveland. She saw the downside when people did not have an estate plan in place, or had a poor plan in place. Families would fight over the parent’s estate and due to the fighting, the family dynamic became split and many times irrevocably destroyed to the point siblings no longer talked to each other with the entire saga taking place in a public forum for the world to see, along with the nosey neighbor. Maura knew there were ways to avoid such public family feuding.
After moving to Florida in the early 2000s, she worked for a couple law firms obtaining abundant insight to client approach and planning. When opening up her own firm she realized that estate planning clients are best served with designing plans that are in their best interest and doing such planning with flat fee plans and not unknown hourly rates.
After several years of providing estate planning guidance to her clients, Maura added asset protection to her services for the discerning clients and business owner because she knows they have worked hard to accumulate wealth and do not need to let chance take it all away.
In addition to being licensed in Ohio and Florida, Maura is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator. She is also a member of the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council, Wealth Counsel, Florida Bar, Ohio Bar, Palm Beach County Bar, Real Property, Probate, Trust Law section of the Florida Bar, and North County section of the Palm Beach Bar.
